My first and almost everyone else’s word: MAMA
All I can think about now is my mother. She is the one who gave life to me here on Earth and she has been my inspiration ever since then.
She has been there for me from my infant days until the present time. She gives love, concern and care for me from head-to-toe. She feeds me when I’m hungry, go shopping with me, dress me with beautiful clothes, accompany me when I’m lonely, listen and help me with problems that I encounter everyday, and so much more.
My dad is doing the same thing. It’s just that, he’s not here with us now. He’s working in Qatar to earn money for our family to live here in the Philippines with less difficulty.
We don’t have a maid. It’s just me, my brother and mom living in the same roof. Since my dad is not here, my mom portrays both roles of a mother and a father at the same time. I know it is hard for her to play both of them so I try not to cause dilemmas that would hurt her feelings. I try to get high grades in school. I also try not to go beyond my limitations for her to be proud of me as her daughter.
To all the moms out there: Thank you for bringing life to the world and giving hope to our future.
Btw, my dad is coming home next week. I terribly miss him. I know my mom totally miss him too. I’m so happy…soon we’ll be together again…one happy family.
